RESILIENCE – the Power to Succeed! International Stress Awareness Week and Conference: 3-8 November 2019
Every year, in the UK an estimated 17 million days are lost to stress, anxiety and depression [Mental Health Foundation].
Some people cope with stressful situations better than others, mainly due to being more resilient. These people thrive whilst others around them crumble under pressure. But the good news is that resilience is not a fixed entity and is not something that a person is blessed with, or not. It can be taught and the workplace is an ideal place for people to learn how to build their resilience.
The UK based International Stress Management Association (ISMA) is the leading professional body for workplace and personal stress management, wellbeing and performance. A registered charity, ISMA exists to promote sound knowledge and best practice in stress management, both nationally and internationally.
