The Journey to Vision Zero: 21st World Congress on Safety and Health at Work: 3-6 September 2017 in Singapore

September 2017

The 21st World Congress on Safety and Health at Work opens its doors every three years. Each time, a different country is the host. The XXI World Congress will be held from 3 to 6 September 2017 in Singapore. It offers a platform for the exchange of information and views to experts in occupational safety and health, representatives of enterprises and workers (the social partners), decision-makers in governments and public authorities, and anyone else active in the area of occupational safety and health.

The objectives are to:

The venue, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, will gather together everyone who is interested and deals with workplace safety and health issues at work.

The official World Congress 2017 languages are English, French, German and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in all keynote and technical sessions. The language of the symposia will be English. Interpretation into other World Congress 2017 languages may be provided.

This meeting should inspire those who work to achieve a healthy, safe and secure workplace for everyone. At the same time everyone should urgently renew the efforts needed to rid the world of child labour. We should all work to ensure that these young people each receive an education to enable them to live safely and healthy. And later enter the world of work that provides a healthy environment and does not tolerate accidents, fatalities and ill health.
