2. 06/167(3)
Kettell was now to edit "The Informer" Newsletter.
Members thanked Councillor Kettell for volunteering to undertake this very important work on behalf of the Council.

3. 06/171(3)
Palmer had observed a number of lorries regularly travelling along Kiveton Lane after 10.00 at night bound for tipping facilities at South Anston and/or Kiveton Park.
Hill had been told that at one tip it was possible for an employee to obtain the keys to open the tip on Sunday and this might be the case at other tips. It might therefore be worthwhile for the LA to specifically detail when tipping is allowed and with a clear ban at weekends.

Members were concerned:-

  1. Lorries accessing these tips should not be travelling through Todwick village other than during the normal working day.
  2. Tipping appeared to be taking place at times when members understood the tips should be closed.
  3. Fly tipping may be occurring close to the tips.
  4. Control measures were not in place to ensure tipping was only allowed at the designated facilities and the approved days/times.

Clerk would ask what action the Borough Council was taking to prevent these seemingly unauthorised HGV movements.
