Minutes of the meeting held in Todwick Village Hall at 7.00 p.m.
on Tuesday 27th April 2004

Mosley welcomed Sharron Castledine recently co-opted onto the Council. She had signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office and could participate fully.
Clerk had informed RMBC and would obtain the Declaration of Interest forms from the Monitoring Officer.

03/155 APOLOGIES
Apologies had been received from the Chairman, Councillor L Waller and the South Yorkshire Police.

03/156 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
There were no amendments.
The minutes were signed as a correct record.

03/157 MATTERS ARISING

Langford had obtained quotations around £18.00/hour but would make further enquiries.
Resolved that the Clerk request RMBC to carry out necessary works throughout the village.

Gregory reported on her attendance at the meeting which had been very useful. The latest proposals may well have benefits for Todwick.

Gregory had attended this but it had not been a particularly good meeting.

5. HLB AV Audit PLC - Annual Return and Advertisement
Clerk would comply with the procedures

Resolved to offer no objection

Resolved to defer a decision until detailed plans had been received

Extension to garage and kitchen at The Acorns, Todwick grange for Mr and Mrs Bignell.
Resolved to offer no objection

Gregory reported on her attendance at the 7 Parishes Meeting which had been attended by the Secretary of the Yorkshire Local Councils Association.

03/164 VILLAGE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
Mosley reported on his activities throughout the month.

03/165 COUNCIL VACANCIES
Resolved to wait until the appropriate Notice of Vacancy procedures had been completed and permission to co-opt had been given before co-opting to either of the two remaining vacancies.
Clerk would inform the applicants.

03/166 VILLAGE PLAN
Mosley the next meeting was on 11th May.

03/167 URGENT ITEMS
1. Recreation Ground
B Waller had reported the broken floodlight to RMBC and the police. She had obtained some paving slabs which were to be laid at the frontage of the youth shelter.

4. Estate Walk About/Environmental Warden
B Waller reported on her walk around the village and her discussions with the Environmental Warden.

The meeting closed at 9.45 p.m.

The next meeting will be held at 7.30pm on 25th May 2004
