Clerk would thank the Borough Council for agreeing to empty the bins

Clerk would report potential problems with the tree stump which remained.

02/118 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
1. RB2002/1953
Erection of a 2 storey dwelling house (amendment to RB2001/1255) at 6
Kiveton Lane for Mr and Mrs Esberger
Resolved to request a copy of the application.
2. RB2002/1976
Two storey front extension and single storey side extension at 4 Manor
Close for A Betts.
Resolved to ask that a copy of the application be sent directly to
Councillor Gregory.
02/119 COMMITTEES
Gregory reminded members of the 7 Parishes meeting to be held in the
village hall on 27 February.
02/120 VILLAGE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
Mosley reported on his work as the Village Maintenance Contractor.
02/121 TODWICK ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION GROUP
Chairman reported of the Group's application to apply for funding from
the Community Chest to assist the planting of trees at the allotments.
Mosley thought further consideration was necessary before any planting
was allowed to proceed.
02/122 VILLAGE APPRAISAL
Chairman confirmed that the group had now formally registered as
Todwick Village Appraisal Group. Megan Holroyd would be the Secretary.
Funding applications were to be sought shortly.
02/123 URGENT ITEMS
1. Recreation Field
B Waller reported verbal abuse to young people at the recreation field
by residents of a near by property.
Resolved not to take any action at present but to await the receipt of
a formal complaint.
2. Allotments
Resolved that Councillors Mosley and L Waller arrange purchase of thorn
hedging for the allotment field at a cost of some £0.25 each.
3. Lindleys Croft
Resolved to consult residents before arranging the reduction of the
height of the hedging to the Church car park.
4. Shop Forecourts
Landford was concerned that cars being driven across the footway and
the shop forecourts were potentially dangerous to those on foot.
Resolved to consider this at a later date.
5. Bus Services
Chairman reported that funds were to be made available for a bus
service to be provided from Houghton Road Industrial Estate at Anston,
through Todwick, to the Supertram Terminus near Killamarsh.
6. A57 Improvements
Chairman reported on the proposal for interim improvements of the A57
near the Red Lion cross roads, in advance of the main scheme.
The meeting closed at 9.45 p.m.
The next meeting will be held in Todwick village hall
at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday 25 February 2003
