Minutes of the meeting held in Todwick Village Hall at 7.30 p.m.
on Tuesday 17 December 2002

02/96 APOLOGIES
Councillors Rusling and B Waller were unable to attend.

02/97 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
There was one amendment.
02/84(2)

31 December 2002 was the date by which arrangements must be in place otherwise the existing account would not be changed.

With the amendment the minutes were signed as a correct record

02/98 MATTERS ARISING
1. 02/84(1) - the voids had been filled by the Village Maintenance Contractor.

2. 02/84(6) - the third bin had been positioned on Goosecarr Lane.

3. 02/84(*) - Mosley had not yet met with Church representatives. The Rev Bliss was arranging a meeting.

4. 02/88 (1) - The Clerk was instructed to write to Wicksteed Leisure a further time.

5. 02/88(10) - Cresswell Groundworks had virtually completed their works.
L Waller /Chairman would arrange the planting of hawthorn whips to cover the spaces left by the removal of unwanted hedging/vegetation.

02/103 PLANNING APPLICATIONS

Conservatory at 26 The Meadows for Mr and Mrs Wooley
Resolved to offer no objection.

02/104 COMMITTEES
There were no reports to make.

02/105 VILLAGE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
Mosley
reported on his work as the Village Maintenance Contractor.
Resolved to thank Councillor Mosley for his good work which included the placing of Christmas lights.

02/106 TODWICK ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION GROUP
There were no further matters to discuss.

02/107 VILLAGE APPRAISAL
Chairman
confirmed that there had been a meeting on 10 December.
The Parish Council would need to contribute some 5% of the cost.
An interest had been registered with the Countryside Commission which was offering funding elsewhere.

02/108 URGENT ITEMS
1. Community Policing
Resolved that the Clerk write to the Chief Superintendent and ascertain what changes might be planned. He was to express concern that individual constables might have their area enlarged whilst at the same time having no access to their own vehicle.

2. Bonfire 2003
Resolved that the Clerk write to the insurance company and others and thereby ascertain what conditions and costs might be involved.

3. Goosecarr Lane Footway
Resolved that the Clerk write to RMBC requesting remedial work to defective areas and the removal of a dead tree promised in earlier years.

The meeting closed at 9.30 p.m.

The next meeting will be held in Todwick village hall
at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday 28 January 2003
