Bar House/Toll Bar

Hello,

My Great Grandmother ELLEN COUSINS nee TRANFIELD (and perhaps husband GEORGE) ran the Toll Bar on Todwick Road/Lane. My Grandpa HENRY COUSINS was born there (He later had a Carpentry Workshop on the corner of Hard Lane and Station Road, Kiveton). His siblings are all thought to have lived there lived there. PATTIE, CHARLOTTE, and deaf and dumb ANNIE certainly did. MARY ELLEN (who died very young), FRANK, THOMAS and ARTHUR are uncertain...

Does anyone have any knowledge of or links with any the above? Any information on, or photos or prints of, Bar House?

I would be delighted to hear from anyone who may have such information - and I am, of course, willing to share my information on that family.

jacuckson@talktalk.net will get to me, but please, no sales or advertising mail! Thank you...

Regards

John A Cuckson

Message from California, USA from Claire Marshall, now Claire Holland

Dear everyone

Good news - to let you know that Daniel Matthew Holland was born on Tuesday March 4th 2003 at 7:58pm (PST). He weighed in at 8lb and measured 21.5 inches in length. Mum, Dad and Daniel are all doing well, if a little tired :)

Pete and I are totally in love with Daniel, and already have the rose tinted spectacles of new parents, and (just to prove it) we have an updated web site to share pics of our little guy.

Please check it out and sign the guest book if you like, we're always happy to hear from you.
We will try to update it as we get more photos.
With big smiles and dark rings around the eyes,
Claire, Pete and, of course, Daniel
